My Evidence-Backed Strategy To Make $100k In Six Months

I’ve spent over a decade testing every business model you can imagine. I’ve built a business that’s generated over $30 million, and I’ve helped more than 3,000 people create their own online education businesses. And here’s what I’ve learned: the path to your first $100k in six months isn’t complicated – it’s actually shockingly simple. Not easy, but simple.

In this post, I’m breaking down the exact blueprint I’ve used and taught to thousands of others. No fluff, no holding back. This is the most efficient path I know, whether you’re starting from zero or you already have some momentum. And the best part? It doesn’t require fancy tech, a massive audience, or years of preparation. Just something you already have.

TL;DR:

  • You don’t need a website, fancy tech stack, or millions of followers to make $100k in 6 months
  • The only requirement is something you already have: your expertise
  • Focus on ONE transformational offer using the CAS (Coaching at Scale) model
  • Start with direct conversations, not content creation
  • You only need 12-48 clients over 6 months (depending on pricing)
  • Test your program first with real clients, then build it out

Look, I’m going to be straight with you.

You clicked on this because you want to know how to make money online. And I’m not here to sell you some complicated funnel system or tell you to build a massive audience first.

I’m going to show you the most efficient and effective path to generating $100k in six months. This is the simplest model – I said simple, not easy – but it’s the blueprint you need, even if you’re starting from zero.

Actually, starting from zero might work in your favor. I’ll explain why later.

This comes from my own experience generating over $30 million online. And the best part? All that’s really required is something you already have.

Trust me when I say, I’ve been the guinea pig for this. I’ve made all the mistakes you don’t have to. I’ve faced all the challenges and obstacles, and I’ve been doing this for over a decade. I’ve taught over 3,000 people this time-tested strategy, getting them to their first $100k/year, $100k/month, and beyond.

What You DON’T Need (And Why That’s Good News)

Let me start by clearing up some myths. Here’s what you absolutely don’t need:

  • ❌ A website or landing page
  • ❌ A funnel or tech stack
  • ❌ Filming and editing skills
  • ❌ A personal brand
  • ❌ Multiple offers

You especially don’t need to sell more than one thing. In fact, I actively recommend against it, and you’ll understand why by the end of this post.

Start With The Most Important Question

So if you don’t need all that stuff, where do you start?

With a very simple question:

What are you good at?

That’s it. That’s where we need to start because this is the secret behind your $100k business, your $100k/month business, and beyond.

Another way to ask this: If someone told you right now that you need to give a TED Talk, what would you talk about?

Or think about it this way: What do people always come to you for over anybody else? What advice do they seek from you? What skill do people come to you for?

This is a very good indication of what you’re capable of teaching.

Why ONE Offer Beats Multiple Offers Every Time

We’re talking about monetizing your knowledge, your skillset, your expertise. There are many ways to do this – memberships, one-on-one coaching, cohorts, self-paced courses.

But after testing everything for over a decade, I’ve landed on what I call CAS: Coaching at Scale. This is the most effective and sustainable way to build an online education business.

Why Not Memberships?

Memberships seem great from the outside. Lower price point, monthly recurring revenue. But here’s the big challenge: retention.

Once somebody learns what they need to know, their incentive to keep paying you goes down. Plus, because you’re using a low price point per month, your cash flow and profitability is slim, making it very hard to sustain the business.

Why Not Pure One-on-One?

At the end of the day, how many hours do we have? Twenty-four.

We can’t make more time. With one-on-one work, you inevitably run into this issue where you’re slammed with meetings and can’t take on any more clients. You’ve created a ceiling for yourself – for your income AND your impact.

If you’re so good at what you do, wouldn’t it be nice to impact more people instead of working in these one-on-one silos?

Why Not Cohorts?

Cohorts mean bringing a bunch of people into a program at one time, with a start date and end date. This can be impactful, but it puts a time limit on people who need to learn from you.

Not everybody learns at the same pace or in the same way. This really does create a cap on how much impact you can ultimately make.

Why Not 100% Self-Paced?

With completely self-paced programs, you have a limit to how much you can charge, and you’re going to get people who simply won’t do the work.

There’s no accountability. There’s no real incentive for people to make sure they get it done. They’re not invested enough to put in the work.

And what does that do? It creates not-great results. If your program doesn’t create great results, you’re not going to get more clients. That’s the sustainability issue right there.

The CAS Model: Coaching at Scale

This is what we’ve taught thousands of people, and nothing has worked as well.

Here’s how it works:

Self-paced curriculum – People can study at their own pace

Built-in accountability – Support through community and mentors

Weekly coaching calls – Direct access to ask questions

Lifetime access – No artificial time pressure

Peer learning – Members learn from and support each other

The beauty of this model? It takes pressure off you as the founder because you’re not the only one teaching. You have an army of people who are implementing your methodology and can provide guidance too.

We’ve had this model for over five years now, and clients who’ve gone on to generate multiple millions per year are still inside our community, offering support and mentoring new members.

The Value Ladder Trap (And Why We Ditched It)

You may have heard of the “value ladder” concept – start with a low-ticket offer ($100-300), then a mid-ticket, then high-ticket. The idea is people buy the cheap thing first, then upgrade.

I’ve done all this. We axed it years ago.

Here’s why: When you have a low-ticket offer that anybody can just click and buy, you get people with a lower level of energy investment. They ask tons of questions, require tons of support, but because they didn’t feel serious about the investment, they don’t actually do the work.

That was leading to way more resources required on our end for something that wasn’t getting astronomical results.

So I made the choice to go application-only with our program.

We’ve been doing this for about five years now, and I can confidently say this is the best business model I’ve had. We’re so cautious about who we allow into our program because we want to ensure you’re at the right place where we can actually support you, and you’re ready and willing to do the work.

People think I’m joking, but we say no more than we say yes. That’s how protective I am about the community and the longevity and health of the business.

The result? The folks inside our program are so invested that they’re doing the work and changing their lives. We have success story after success story. We have a whole YouTube channel dedicated to those success stories.

The Power of ONE Focused Offer

When you have multiple offers, each one requires:

  • Operations
  • Sales
  • Traffic/Leads
  • Marketing
  • Fulfillment
  • And more

This creates what we call horizontal scaling – you’re spreading yourself thin with multiple offers and reaping a very small reward in terms of your peace, sanity, and revenue.

But when you have ONE offer focused on your expertise and skillset, you can make sure it’s the most impactful it can be. Every single resource goes into that one offer.

This creates vertical scaling. All your resources lift that one offer, allowing you to smash any income or impact ceiling.

We have clients who have scaled to $1 million, $2 million, $3 million a year by themselves or with a team of two or three people max. An online business can be a very lean model – low expenses, high profitability, which gives you cash flow security.

The Two W’s of Scale

To create this efficient path to your first $100k, we need to answer what I call the two W’s of scale:

  1. WHO are you ultimately trying to reach with your expertise?
  2. WHAT are you offering them? What will they get out of it?

If you can answer these two questions, you have the base of a very solid business.

What Are You Really Selling?

You’re selling the outcome. We call this the “hero outcome.”

People do not pay for information – they pay for transformation.

Your offer has to be transformative, especially now with how much free content is out there. People can learn pretty much anything, but what they can’t necessarily do on their own is achieve an actual transformation.

You need to ask yourself: What is the outcome or impact I want to have on people with the thing I’m very good at?

Who Are You Selling To?

This is the zero state – when the person you’re serving is in the most frustrated, urgent, painful, challenged place.

This is truly the most important factor to creating a business that’s going to attract a lot of ready-to-work clients.

Here’s a key distinction: Vitamin vs. Prescription

A vitamin program is a nice-to-have. It’s like vitamins – I need to take them every day, but sometimes I forget. It’s not the end of the world.

A prescription program is different. If I have a prescription because I’m really sick, I will be taking that every day because I have to. There’s pain, there’s urgency.

You need to make sure your program fills a prescription. You are the doctor, diagnosing if the person is in enough urgency and pain to actually do the work.

Why does this matter? Because if they don’t do the work, you won’t have results for your program, and no one else will want to buy it.

Real Example: Teaching European Portuguese

One of our clients teaches European Portuguese. There are a bajillion opportunities to learn languages – free apps, accessible memberships online.

But she teaches European Portuguese to folks who are relocating to Portugal for a job. They absolutely cannot get away with not learning the language. That’s urgency. That’s a prescription.

She recently shared: “The month we hit 100,000 YouTube subscribers is also the month we hit our first $100k month ever.”

When we first met, she was making $1,500/month with 1,700 YouTube subscribers.

Slow and steady, making sure she only served people who were actually ready to do the work, led to phenomenal client results. And client results are the best marketing you can ask for.

Why Beginner Programs Are Painful (And AI Makes It Worse)

If you’re selling to total beginners – people just dipping their toe in – they’re not really going to take it seriously. They’re not in enough pain yet.

And now with AI? AI has created even more free information on the internet. You can learn almost anything on AI.

But if you’re at a very specific place and you need the experience of somebody who’s been there and done that, AI isn’t going to cut it. You need expert guidance – someone who has been there, created the roadmap, and is an actual human being who can offer support.

The POP: Profitable Offer Prototype

Here’s the secret: You don’t build your program before you sell it.

Once you know the transformation you’re creating (zero to hero state) and you can lay out a curriculum outline, then you start attracting clients and deliver it LIVE for the first round.

We call this a POP: Profitable Offer Prototype.

Why deliver it live first?

  • You can test it in a real setting
  • You understand if you’ve done it in the right order
  • You can make adjustments before creating a prepackaged program
  • You save SO much time

The amount of people who come to us having spent years creating an online course that never sold to anybody is painful.

Instead:

Figure out the transformation → Create curriculum outline → Get clients → Test curriculum → Optimize → Package it → Scale.

How To Find Your First Clients (Without Building An Audience)

This is where most people get it wrong. They think they need paid ads or to build a massive audience first.

All you really need? Conversations.

Here’s what I call the “money question”:

“Do you know anyone struggling with [your area of expertise]?”

Start With Your Warm Audience

Send this question to:

  • Your network, friends, and family
  • Peers in your industry
  • People with similar audiences
  • Anyone willing to help you out

You’d be shocked at how effective this is.

Those people will send you contacts. You speak to them. Then you ask them the same thing: “Do you happen to know anyone else struggling with this?”

From there, you build a cold audience. And THEN it starts to make sense to post content, because you actually have people who care.

The No-Friction Sales Funnel

The process looks like this:

Human → Zoom Call → Lead

That’s it.

You’re not looking at these people as clients. You’re looking at them as conversations and research and development for your program.

Ask them:

  • What are they struggling with?
  • How long have they been struggling?
  • What are they looking for in a solution?
  • What do they wish somebody would tell them or do for them?

That’s hand-delivering you perfect parts of your curriculum.

Real Example: Mike’s Pizza Training Program

One of our clients tried to sell a $99 course that nobody wanted to buy. So he implemented this system.

He was a little upset with me at first because he thought, “This is just so simple. I’ve spent so much time creating a funnel and this course that no one’s buying.”

But here’s what happened:

He started having direct conversations. He reached out to people on Instagram with messages like:

“Hey Joe, as a side note, I’m working on a training course tailored for pizzeria operators and would love your take on it for my research. As someone with experience, your perspective is gold. Would you be open to a quick Zoom call? This is not a sales call – just research, and you’ll be doing me a big favor.”

The response? “Hey Mike, I’d be honored to help.”

Mike spoke to 50 people for research.

Then, when he had his curriculum dialed in, he went back to those 50 people and said, “Hey, you know that thing you really wanted? I made it. Are you interested?”

The Results:

  • 50 total conversations
  • 35 took the call about enrolling
  • 25 people enrolled
  • $90,000 in three weeks
  • 71% conversion rate

With an Instagram account, Zoom, and Stripe to process payments, he generated just under $100k in three weeks.

He later said: “I wrote a whole book that reached #1 on Amazon, and I made more money in three weeks than the book made in three years.”

The Math: How Many Clients Do You Actually Need?

Let’s break down what it takes to hit $100k in 6 months:

Option 1: Premium Pricing

  • 2 clients/month at $8,400 = $16,800/month
  • Total needed: 12 clients over 6 months

Option 2: Mid-Tier Pricing

  • 4 clients/month at $4,200 = $16,800/month
  • Total needed: 24 clients over 6 months

Option 3: Volume Pricing

  • 8 clients/month at $2,100 = $16,800/month
  • Total needed: 48 clients over 6 months

These are not astronomical numbers. This is totally doable without millions of followers.

Conservative Conversion Rates

Let’s say you want to make $10k/month charging $5,000 per client. You need 2 clients.

With a conservative 20% conversion rate, you need 10 leads per month.

Ten leads is not a lot of people, especially when you’re having direct conversations.

And here’s the beautiful thing: Those leads you don’t convert aren’t lost. Add them to your email list. Continue nurturing them with valuable content. When they’re ready to get help, they’ll come to you because you’ve built that relationship.

The Long-Term System: Building Your Revenue Machine

Once you’ve proven your offer with real clients and real results, THEN you can scale.

The long-term system looks like this:

Traffic Sources

One-to-One & On-Demand (Social media, email list)

  • Direct conversations
  • Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn
  • Email list nurturing

Evergreen Traffic (YouTube)

  • People searching for your solution right now
  • Content that works while you sleep
  • Videos that show up in search results

YouTube is magic because there are people searching for what you offer right now, and all you need to do is make content that shows up for them.

The Conversion Path

  1. Lead Generation → They join your email list
  2. Nurture Sequence → Educate them on what you do
  3. Webinar/VSL → Free training to warm them up (optional)
  4. Strategy Call → Listen to them, diagnose if they’re the right fit
  5. Enrollment → Make an offer if it makes sense

This builds a steady pipeline of potential clients so you never run out of opportunity.

The Flywheel That Runs Everything

Here’s how it all comes together:

  1. Transformational Course → You create something that gets results
  2. Enroll People → They join your program
  3. Get Results → They achieve their transformation
  4. Referrals → Happy clients refer more people
  5. More Results → The cycle continues

Word-of-mouth marketing is the best marketing you can have. These people are happy, they refer more people, you get more folks in your program, you get more results, and the flywheel starts turning on its own.

We call this the engine that runs your online education business.

Why Having No Audience Can Actually Help You

Even if you have a massive audience, you may not be able to monetize it because it’s probably filled with the wrong people.
There are people with millions of subscribers barely scraping by.

Warm traffic on its own is false advertising. If you only ever sell to people already following you, they’re going to run out. You constantly have to be growing your cold audience – bringing new people into your realm.

This is why the algorithm flywheel matters:

Ideal Follower → Relevant Content → Algorithm Categorization → Traffic Sources

When you create magnetic messaging that appeals to your ideal follower, they engage. The algorithm categorizes you as an authority on this topic. Then the algorithm pushes more traffic your way without you doing as much work.

I’ve been doing social media for over a decade. Trust when I say it’s really this simple.

The Biggest Takeaway

Regardless of whether you have no audience, a big audience, or a small audience:

A small audience of the right leads is much more profitable than a large audience of random followers.

This entire process isn’t a one-and-done. It’s not a one-hit wonder. This is setting the foundation to scale from – so you can actually scale up to $100k/month and beyond.

We have people we’ve worked with who have been able to do that.

Your Next Steps

Remember:

  • Start with what you’re good at
  • Focus on ONE transformational offer
  • Make it a prescription, not a vitamin
  • Have direct conversations first
  • Test your program with real clients
  • Build the long-term system once it’s proven

This works. I’ve seen it work for thousands of people. The simplicity is what makes it powerful.
